1. What is the Skratch Pad Network?
- Yeah, it's pretty wild isn't it? I have a full explanation here.

2. Who the hell is Midknight?
- Midknight's a 22 year old programmer who came out of Howard Univesity. The only problem is, he's a bit eccentric (to avoid the use of the word 'insane'). Anyways, he's the guy who designs, programs, and maintains SPN.

3. What's Midknight's real name?
- Look. Ask some Tech questions okay?
4. What's the best browser I should have to view this network?
- SPN is optimized for almost every browser, however, the best browsers to use are either Netscape Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. You can find them at those links. SPN looks okay as an HTML site, however, the real site shines under DHTML which is only supported by those browsers.

5. What is DHTML?
- DHTML is Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language. Dynamic sites are better than static HTML sites since they allow for style sheets and two dimensional layering as well as a more "programmy" interface through the use of javascript, jscript, Visual Basic, etc. Think of it as a closer step on how interactive multimedia entertainment should be.

6. What about all this multimedia stuff? What plug-ins should I have?
- Currently, almost all videos and audio files are being re-compressed to Real Media format which allows for streaming audio and video. So your best bet is to have the Real Player 5.0. Also, it's good to have a quicktime player since there are still quicktime videos being presented.

7. What is the goal of SPN?
- SPN is just the beginning of the masterplan behind Midknight's ingenius plot of world domination thru the internet. The first step to catch the eyes of consumers is thru entertainment. But SPN will soon be the number one eccentric entertainment network on the World Wide Web.

8. How long has SPN been on the Internet?
- SPN has been going strong on the World Wide Web since 1994. Midknight has been on the internet since 1984. You might have seen Midknight's mark before as the extremely underground yet semi-popular, Apple IIe, hip-hop software pirates the NightCrackers, back in the eighties. See what happens when a 8 year old starts reading anarchist files and K-Mart Fun?

9. What's a pirate.
- *sigh* It has to do with pirating software. You know, Int 13 & Copy II Dos, crap. It's illegal so nevermind. In fact, Midknight was never a software pirate. You never heard that from me or anyone. It was a joke.

10. Why would you do something illegal and then put it on the web to tell everybody?
- I was joking! Forget it! Shut the hell up, okay?

11. Why are you getting bent out of shape? I was just asking a question.
- Dammit! Shut the hell up! This is TECH SUPPORT! Ask some Tech Support questions, please!

12. Did Midknight really meet Tyra Banks?
- Yes! She didn't take to him very well. Tech questions, please. TECH questions!

13. If Midknight battled Roc Raider, who would win?
- Probably Roc Raider unless Midknight cheated and slammed Roc's hands in a piano first.

14. Would he ever do that?
- Of course not! Look--

15. I know, I know. Tech Questions. How often does the Skratch Pad Network get updated?
- The Skratch Pad Network has something new every week. Different sub-sections change weekly.

16. Does SPU (Skratch Pad Underground) feature other types of music?
- SPU features hip-hop music, but in the very nearfuture it will extend to other types of underground music including Go-Go, House, Techno, and Punk.

17. Is it true that Midknight not only DJ's but is a Punk Rock connesiur as well?
- I'm not sure. That remains a mystery, however, Midknight has been seen around 34th street in Manhattan at 3am hanging with some of the homeless electric guitar players analyzing their style.

17b. Is it true that Midknight is developing different styles of music.
- Yes. He's seriously sick. He's working on Punk Opera (Punkra or Operock) as we speak.

18. Is it true that Midknight kicked DJ Analyze's ass because he stole an Ethernet Adapter from him?
- What?

19. Does Midknight have any other sites he's designed?
- Midknight has designed a few sub-sites for HBO, and is now doing Java, VRML, and SQL programming. He also does freelance site design.

20. What can I expect from SPN outside of the web?
- There are currently interactive CD's in the works as well as game programming and Windows software design. I don't think Midknight will stop until somebody executes him. So keep your eyes peeled.

21. Where can I get information on website design?
- The online media kit has information on advertising, sponsorship, mini-site design, and full-site design through MM Inc and/or Ampersand Communications.

22. Where can I get advertising and sponsorship information?
- The SPN online media kit has information on advertising, sponsorship, mini-site design, and full-site design through MM Inc. and/or Ampersand Communications.

23. Could you please repeat that?
- No.
24. Is there a mailing list I can get on?
- Yes, just send your e-mail address saying subscribe and you'll be on.

25. Will I be spoofed?
- No. There was once a spoofing problem caused by an ISP hacker by the name of Vengence. That problem has been taken care of though.

26. Wait a minute, is it true that Vengence and Midknight used to hack together?
- I have no idea what you're talking about. Next question please?

27. Are there any other mailing lists I can get on that have to do with SPN?
- Yes. There's a Reality Distorted mailing list which features creative Sci-Fi / Tech stories written by Midknight. This is where the character Evil Hecubus was derived from as well as Eggman, Guardian of Mojo, Astaroth the High ShadowLord, Sgt. Tsunami, leader of the Astral Constabulary, and the Daemonic Trio featuring Cron, Getty and Biod. And of course Midknight the Shadowlord. More information on these email-tales will be given later.

28. Can I subscribe to the Reality Distorted mailing list?
- Yes. Simply write to midknight@skratchpad.com saying, Subscribe Real Dis.

29. Who else recieves the Reality Distorted mailing list?
- The Howard University system administrators and lab operators in the Computer Learning and Design Center recieve the Reality Distorted mailing list. Much of the humor is technical, but it's still very good and easy to understand. Most of the time.
