Hustler to the President's Rescue
Larry Flynt claims responsibility for digging up Livingston republican dirt
Hustler publisher Larry Flynt took credit yesterday
for digging up the dirt on Republican
Congressman Robert Livingston's extramarital
affairs - and said he has the goods on at least 10
more GOPers.

"When our report comes out, Clinton's going to
look like Mary Poppins compared to the rest of
these guys," Flynt told The Post.

The infamous porn peddler said investigators
working for Hustler talked to four women who
claimed to have had affairs with Livingston over a
10-year period.

He said Hustler contacted Livingston this week for
comment - prompting the incoming speaker of the
House to come forward with yesterday's shocking
admission that he "strayed from my marriage"
several times.

"We have an audiotape. He's having phone sex
with one of the girls, and it's pretty raunchy," Flynt
told The Post.

"It's pretty kinky, his activity with these women."

Livingston did not return calls for comment on
Flynt's allegations.

But a Republican House member said that after
Livingston admitted the affairs to his colleagues
last night, someone said to him, "It sounds like
you've been Larry Flynted."

It wasn't known how Livingston responded.

Flynt placed a full-page ad in The Washington
Post in October offering $1 million to anyone who
could provide proof of having an affair with a
high-level government official.

Flynt said the ad paid off big-time.

"There are going to be others, several others and a
couple just as important as Livingston," Flynt said.

"Our plans were to publish everything in one issue
and at the same time post it on the Internet.

"I'm a little upset that he himself scooped me on
this thing because we had it in the bag," Flynt said.

"[But] maybe it's better it happened this way
because I was just trying to expose the hypocrisy
up there anyway."

Flynt says he has dirt on a dozen Washington
officials - all but one of them a Republican,
although he said he never intended to dig dirt only
on the GOP.

Flynt refused to name names but he said the
lustful list includes:

*"A Republican senator that's been involved in a
threesome with his wife and another woman,
which is kind of fascinating."

*A Republican member of the House Judiciary
Committee other than Chairman Henry Hyde, who
has already been forced to admit to an affair in his
past.

*"A high-ranking official" in the Republican National
Committee.

RNC spokesman Mike Collins said he had no
information about anyone who may have come
under Flynt's microscope.

"When we at the RNC lie about sex, it's a matter of
exaggeration. But if the Democrats want to be
known as the party of Larry Flynt and Hustler
magazine, it's just fine by us," Collins said.

Flynt said he hasn't yet been able to go to print
with his salacious story because he's bogged
down in negotiations over money with the many
women who provided information about their
Washington paramours.
