Dad's uncontrollable rage
December 1, 1998--24-year old Richard Adams was charged today with the violent murder of his 6-year old daughter, Kayla McKean. Adams admitted murdering his daughter in a fit of rage on Wednesday and then burying her body in a shallow grave ina remote area 40 miles outside of their small town of Clermont, Florida. Police were led to the girl's body on Monday by her step-mother, Marcie Adams. Mrs. Adams has been charged with misdemeanor obstruction of justice.Richard Adams has a record of violent behavior dating back to 1992 and he had been incarcerated 3 times prior to this incident. I n the murder of his daughter, Adams says that he was fed up and in a fit of rage; he slso states that he has tried to seek counseling for his violent behavior from social services workers.
